No one pays for coverage on this site. There are no affiliate links, no sponsored placements and no paid reviews. The application discussed here is free and open source, so there is nothing to sell and no commission to earn from it.

Technical advice

The guides describe configuration steps that are ordinary and reversible, but every system is different. Changing audio devices, drivers or system settings is done at your own risk, and we cannot be responsible for the result on your particular machine. If something matters, note the current setting before you change it.

Software safety

We recommend obtaining any application only from its publisher's official channels. Repackaged builds of open source Windows utilities are a known route for bundled unwanted software, and a familiar name on an unfamiliar site is not a guarantee of anything. The official sources for EarTrumpet are its own site and its repository, both linked in the footer.

Accuracy and corrections

Screens move, menus get renamed, features arrive and leave. If something here is out of date or simply wrong, tell us through the contact page and it will be corrected rather than left standing.
